See You in San Antonio?

THIS WILL BE A SHORT WEEK in terms of school and my internship. Since the entire faculty is attending the CSWE conference, in San Antonio, TX, they called off classes for the week. And, since I am also attending, I will be missing a day of my field practicum.

I am looking forward to traveling to another state, The Lone Star State, meeting new friends, and seeing at least one old classmate, who is now a Texan.

The New Social Worker magazine will have a booth at the conference, and editor Linda Grobman will be there each day. On Saturday, Karen Zgoda will be at the booth at 9:15 a.m. and I'll be there at 1 p.m. Please stop by Booth 215 and say "hello." We would love to meet you and hear your stories.

~Ms. T. J.

  1. Yes, I will be at Booth 215 throughout the conference. Also, our SW 2.0 columnist/blogger, Karen Zgoda, will be at the booth on Saturday morning at 9:15. Come by to see our books, talk about THE NEW SOCIAL WORKER, get a piece of candy or a pen, and network

  3. It will be so great to see you all and meet you TJ! I'm surprised more folks aren't tweeting the conference (using #cswe or #cswe09). I'll be tweeting and would love to hear about your experiences too. Mind you I'll be writing my next SW 2.0 column on the state of technology in social work so it should be smashing fun. :)

I can't believe we missed one another, Karen! I wasn't available for your "booth appearance" and you must not have been for mine. Hopefully our paths will cross again one day. Until then...

  5. It was great to see both of you, TJ and Karen. TJ, congrats on getting that book from CSWE! I think the "Meet the Columnists" went well and got some good exposure for the two of you and your contributions to THE NEW SOCIAL WORKER. Thanks for participating in that!
