Midnight Madness

My first day back in the saddle and I'm up past midnight finishing a paper for my 9 a.m. class. Jeepers creepers; it's time to rest these peepers!

I decided to check my email before I went to bed and I saw two responses to my last blog. I am not kidding when I write this: I got teary-eyed.

Thank you so much.

Even if you are the only people who read my blog and find it helpful, I feel like I am doing something that matters.

And isn't it the social worker who most often says: "If I can help just one person, it will have been worth it?"

You've just made it worth it for me today.

  1. I'm reading too! Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I don't always have as much time as I'd like to comment..

  2. I'm reading too! As someone teaching BSW students this semester, it's always helpful to hear a student's perspective. Keep up the good work, take care of yourself, and good luck with all your assignments!!

  3. Don't give up. I will graduating with my BSW in June. I have been going to a university that the s.w. program is currently being accredited plus I had not gone to school for 20 years. It is hard to describe the feeling of accomplishment except to say It feels great! My ex- said to me before he walked out on me. "You are too old to go to school, you just need to get a job". This was a career minded man who left me to do every perspective of running a household, raise our daughters and even pack for him on every trip he took for work. I realize now he treated me with no respect what so ever. School has been challenging and hard but I would do it over again in a second with no doubt.
